Mouse's Cable Stabilizer

Got this from my colleague ~~ to stabilise my mouse's cable~

Not due to any special occasion... just because I asked her where to buy this since she's having one on her office desk ~~

And few days after she bought one for me ~~

And never ask me for money...

She's popular for her "weird" character... likes to "give" but never "take".

My New Year Eve

Went to Aquaria, KLCC in the afternoon ~RM 28 per entry (with MyKard)~~

Felt like we were also part of them -- the tourists.

Quite a nice place to visit ～☆


The 1st thing I saw and was ammediately attracted to this creature, and was soooo excited about it... although I don't know its name... Should be some kind of "ray".

My 2007 Resolutions

2006 is coming to an end soon...
In fact, very soon... ♪~~((*^o^*)

Like early this year,
I should, again, come out with my new year's resolutions for 2007.

I feel ashamed that most of my resolutions made for 2006 were not accomplished. （─.─）
1. I said I wanted to read more books and newspapers...
Well, finally I finished a decent book - "The World is Flat".
But one book a year is .... errr..... ≡￣﹏￣≡
And I only read thestar online whenever I have extra time...
or else I listened to the radio for latest updates.

2. I said I wanted to take up MBA...
But I have not started anything yet other than visiting an education fair.
And I'm still hesitating whether to further study or not...

3. I said I wanted to go to Japan for homestay once again...
Alright, what kind of excuse again?
... how about "not enough money"??

4. I said I wanted to go visit Tibet...
Not enough money???!!!

5. I said I wanted to take up JLPT2...
Too busy with works... In fact, I stopped my Japanese class in the middle of the year.

6. I said I wanted to be physically active...
At least I joined Celebrity and go at least thrice a year if I'm not stuck in the office.

In 2007, I look forward to:
1. Continue my Japanese language study.
2. Read more books/newspaper (at least 5 books per year).
3. Save more money.
4. Look into business opportunity.
5. Be physically active (my membership with True Fitness starts 01 Jan, 07).
6. Travel overseas (any country will do, except Singapore!!!)

(And I hope I don't have to stay up until very late in the office in order to survive.)

Frustration over Internet Traffic Jam

An earthquake that struck southern Taiwan on Tuesday night destructed submarine cables that form part of the region-wide Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN 2), hence disrupting internet communications over much of Asia. Countries affected include Japan, South Korea, China, Malaysia, Singapore, the United States, Europe and Australia.

Yes, it means we couldn’t access some of the Internet services or websites that are hosted overseas for days, or probably weeks. I wonder how long it will be. I’m concerned because I couldn’t blog, I couldn’t MSN, I couldn’t e-mail, and I couldn’t download songs!!! What a frustration!!! As I’m now clearing leaves and staying at home, I thought I could take more time surfing the net and downloading more songs. （＞﹏＜）

I’ve almost finished reading “The World is Flat”, which had mentioned the invention of internet and fibre optic that contributed to the flattening of the world. In the last few chapters, the author also mentioned some of the forces that may threaten to unflatten the world. Now, it’s ironic that a catastrophe has temporarily damaged one of the great forces that helps flattened the world. I wonder what Mr. Thomas Friedman will say about this. ╮（╯＿╰）╭

A "Packed" X'mas Holiday

Finally ~ ended my 3 days 2 nights trip to Singapore. ♪♪(^O^)

My last visit to Singapore was March 2005.

"How was Singapore?" If you asked me...
I would say, "packed!".

I think it's a norm for people from nearby countries to go to Singapore during festive seasons, like Christmas.
If you don't believe it... I bumped into my colleagues!!!
It's a small world after all...

My aim was just to relax instead of a shopping spree...
But given the tremendous crowd, we had to elbowed our way from one place to another.
And we barely gasped a breath of fresh air...

I do not know for certain whether the crowds were mostly made from foreigners who came for a short visit.... or were they Singaporeans/expats/foreign workers??

After more than one and a half year, my impression towards Singapore has somehow changed.
It's unlikely a place I would frequent in future... for leisure..

I know it was packed, because of Christmas... but I've also seen a phenomenon which I'd not really "come across" or "realised" early last year.
I saw low-wage foreign workers everywhere!!!
While I was shopping, waiting for bus, and taking mrt...
Although I had only been to Orchard, Bugis, Balestier (where I stayed), and Ang Mo Kio during these 3 days.
So... was it packed due to visitors or was it due to overflow of foreign workers??

My bf's bro who is working in Singapore told us that few years ago, you could still come out for shopping during weekends... but now, it's much too crowded for him and his wife to enjoy shopping for groceries.

Singapore is a small country and it's already heavily loaded...
Why would they want to take in so many foreign workers??
What was wrong???
...probably you and me have the answer in our hearts...

I remember a friend once told us that,
if she were rich, she would choose Singapore to reside...
For me, definitely a no-no!
In the past, it might be a nice country to stay though...

Okay ~ now it's time to summarise my stay with some photos.

On the 2nd day, the 1st thing we tried ~ MOS Burger!!!
Special japanase-style unagi rice burger ~~ delicious 'n healthy!


This year, the lighting was mostly in yellow.. which was... errr... "inelegant".
We found this in Bugis Junctions... white lighting better, at least this is what I think...


Had our coffee break in Starbucks...
gez what? It tastes better in KL. Really!!!

Wondering how small our room was?? 〒▽〒 Yes! That's it!! It was that small.
We stayed at Hotel 81 -- love nest for those seeking comfort from whore... ~>_<~

Other than MOS burger, we also tried frog porridge (田鸡粥) in Ang Mo Kio.
Spicy and yummy!!! But forgot to take a picture of the food.

So.. that's all...

Bothersome Skin Allergy

Recently, I have this skin allergy which just doesn't go away...

I can't find the root of the problem.

My skin is not the sensitive type and it's my first time having this kind of persistent allergies.... on the FACE.
Although I've had one on my neck already... which has been there for years.

At first, I thought it was due to fragrance...
So I switched from Kose to Origins.

I bought this Origins starter kit (The Perfect World) at RM 180. A X'mas promotion.

Inside, there are cleanser, toner, essence, moisturiser and an eye care. ~Quite worth the price~
One thing I like about Origins is that the smell is good and calming. Probably because they have essential oil inside.

But it didn't get better... （＞０＜）

Finally, I think I figured out the culprit -- Cellnique Pro Sebum Gel, which I use to control black/whiteheads.

I realised once I stopped using it, the allergies come back...
So I couldn't help to apply more to suppress the allergic reaction.
But I don't want my skin to be dependent on the sebum gel...
And the sebum gel must be doing something that causes this reaction...

Finally, I went back to Jf to look for HELP!!!
.... and spent another RM400+ on skin care.

Now you know why women spend so much... ╮(￣⊿￣")╭

But the main difference between salon brand and counter brand is...
I received more professional and better consultation.

The beautician in the Jf branch that I went to is knowledgeable and patient in explaining to me my problems and which product is suitable for my skin.
Although I felt heartache to have spent so much money just on skincare lately, （＞﹏＜）
I'm willing to pay to get the bothersome skin problem solved.

So... I am back on Jf products again.
Since I found out who is the culprit... I think I will continue to use Kose and Origins once my skin condition has become better...

I will have plenty of skincare supplies for the time being....

Hopefully the allergy will go away soon... 　祈っているよ

Education Fair

有一阵子没来部落格了。。。

那天 ~ 到PWTC去参观一个education fair。
自从毕业了以后，还是头一回去酱子的展。

那里有很多来自不同国家的学府，
包括日本、新加坡、荷兰等。
当然本地的最多。

拎了一大堆pamphlets，当然还收集了不少的笔哦！！
可是 ~ 到现在都还没真正的去翻拿回来的资料~~
可能还不晓得是不是真的就这样念书去了。。。

当天还有小插曲哦~!
当经过一个日本大学的booth时，
尽然遇见中学时代曾暗恋过的隔壁班的学长也！

我就主动上前跟他打招呼
还问了他好多问题。。

还好不怎么尴尬。。。
虽然他应该知道我曾喜欢他。
哎哟！而且还是第一次一见钟情哩！！ (-_-;)

不过~
现在当然已没感觉了啦！
不然~
要给人扁死！！

不过和他也蛮有缘的。
我大学毕业了以后，
已经前前后后遇过他3、4次了。。。

就这样 ~ 没什么特别的。。

人生交叉路

最近
有些情绪理不清。。。
有些事情想不通。。。
就好像到了交叉路口，不知道该往左转、还是往右。。

该拿一笔钱去读书呢？
Upgrade自己以后再继续打工下去。。。

爱哭鬼

泣いちゃったよ　~　今日は．．．

今天又在公司里哭了。。。
最糗的是被我的immediate boss看见了。
我这位亦友亦boss的上司，可能会觉得很内疚吧~~
因为他觉得他帮不到我争取我“应得的”。

其实我并不想被他看到。
也不想让他觉得为我难过。
因为我认为可能是我不deserve it。。不关他的事。。。
所以我反而耿耿于怀，因为让他难过。。

今天 ~ 我只不过是压力大，一时想不开罢了。

同事一定认为我是个爱哭鬼！
其实我并不爱哭。。（？？？！！）
除了看悲剧，或跟妈妈吵架以外，我都很少哭。
跟男友吵架，也只哭过那么一次罢了。
我说的是嚎啕大哭，或眼泪不能控制地不停流下来那种才算。

进入公司3年，也不曾哭过...
直到今年6月开始...
自从一位同事离职以后，工作量增大
每天都有做不完，堆积如山的工作摆在前面...
好像都透不过气来。。
因为若今天没赶完，明天又将会堆积更多更多的。。
往往忙得没时间上厕所 .. 又憋尿、又造成便秘。。
往往是快要拉出来了，才肯上厕所。

可是我换来的不是上司的慰问或安慰。。
而是 ~ 为什么还没做这个，还没做那个的。
结果，造成心理极度不平衡！！！

“我真的有那么差劲吗？”我在想。
差劲得当我的immediate boss推荐我升职加薪的时候。。
换来的是。。。

或许我还不够努力吧！
到底是不是我应得的 ~ 我也搞不清楚了。

写着写着.. 眼泪又不争气的流下来了。。。
很讨厌软弱和stress threshold very low的自己！
或许就是这个原因，让我更肯定 ~ I DON'T DESERVE IT！！！

我 ~ 没有选择错

今天见了两位从埃及来的 ~
一位是厂商，另一位是大使馆的。。
第一次面对面见埃及人吧！
~ 还蛮高的2位男人哟！

和我一起去见他们的还有2位经理。
其中一位是资深经理，对于接待外国人都很熟悉。
结果 ~ 当然由他去谈... 而我在一旁静静的听、学习..

我在想。。要是在multinational公司，绝对不会有如此的机会去学习和外国人商议
或接触外国市场！
我想，我没有选择错误。。。

而且，最近都在懊恼和美国厂商接洽的事。。

可是我觉得我还要学的事还很多。。
而且要阅读广阔，才能谈判，才不会给人笑话。
我想，我在这方面还待学习..　もっともっと学習しないと。。o（＾-＾）o
说的好听点 ~ 就是还有进步的空间。哈！

回乡插曲

双佳节回乡时会想到什么呢？

有好多Kuih可以吃？

放长假可以好好地吃喝玩乐？？♪♪

这些都是往好的方面去想。。

其实，回乡 ~ 塞车还是小事。
最恐怖的莫过于车祸了。

为什么我会往坏的方面去想？？

因为啊 ~ 我差一点就成为连环车祸的受害者之一！！！

话说那天我们3人从KL回怡保的路途时...
大约凌晨5点就出发了..
路上很多车..
有些路段 ~ 车的时速只能到达60kph吧！

快要接近怡保时 ~
忽然 ~ 车子came to a total halt...
快速大道通常很少会遇到完全停车的状态。。

结果，后面的后面的后面的 ~ 一辆车..
却来不及煞车.. （可能是还没睡醒吧？） (@д@;)
撞向前面的车子！！
导致被撞的车子又再撞向前面（就是我后面的那辆）车子！！！

虽然我是在passenger seat..
可是我很习惯通过side mirror看后面的车子（不相信driver的关系吧？！）
所以，整个过程我是看着的。。
还以为这次是逃不过劫数了~ ~

幸好我后面的车子本来已经是停着了~
所以冲力没那么大。。
而且我们的driver快点踩油往前移。。
才没有被撞..

phew！！ 好险哦！ (-_-;

可是我们3个都已经被吓到魂不守舍 ~~

正是谢天谢地。。
我还紧紧握着颈项戴着的神像。。谢谢保佑！！

Eye Concealer from Clinique

Have been using eye concealer from Stila for quite some time already...

To cover my "panda-like" dark circles...

Although I apply it every morning, I still do not know why I seem not to able to finish it..

I think I've been using for more than a year already..


Then I got these oil seeds under my eyes which may be attributable to this concealer...

Since it's quite creamy..

OR may be NOT??!!!


Then I spotted this latest eye concealer from Clinique.. ★彡

Bought it at RM80.

I think the one by Stila was RM 68 if I'm not mistaken.




The texture is more liquid... should be less greasy, I think..

Two shades are available and I chose shade 02.

The promoter helped to apply on my eyes.

Effect not bad...

But I still have not started applying it by myself.

Since it's now still holiday.. no need to make up. Ha!!

那天 ~ 在怡保的大众书局逛逛 ~
给我看到了一直很想买的 《伊能静美丽教主之变脸天书》 ☆
刚好又有20%折扣，当然不错过啦！！
折了以后好像是RM34+。

回到家就一直翻 ~

若要说文笔 ~~ 就当然没有很好啦。 哈！
不过美容心得还不错。
只可惜很多她介绍的产品在本地没有得卖。

之前也有看过大S的 ~
觉得大S的比较不合逻辑 ~ 保养得太过疯狂了！

不过，还是奉劝读者别照单全收。
有些纯粹是她们的个人经验和心得，未必正确或适用。
甚至有些伊能静介绍的产品可能不适合你的年龄。
所以还是要多了解产品特性以及适合哪一个年龄层。

不过，本人很认同她说的一句话，就是：

选择适合的产品要看肌肤的年龄而不是真实的年龄。

眼部保养

这是我新添增的眼霜

RoC Protient Fortify Eyelid Lift Serum ～（＾－＾）ｖ

一直都没找到很好、很有效的眼霜。
刚用完了Lancome，正头痛这次要试用哪一个品牌...
后来看到伊能静的部落格介绍她在用RoC这个品牌的眼霜，便也想试用一下。
只是我买的跟她的不同系列。

这一支注重拉提，细纹和黑眼圈。
而且他们有做过临床试验证明效果不错。
蛮有信心的说...

今天是第二天。我只在晚上擦。
因为白天会用Clinique的 ~~ 有SPF防晒。
刚擦上去，有些刺刺的感觉，是有效成分在作用的原因。
后来也没什么特别的感觉。

好不好用 ~ 还是等多一会儿才知道咯！

无所事事...随便说说

今天拿了一天假，无所事事。
也没有为了有什么特别的事情做。

就是上网也很开心~~
或者是读一读别人的blog。

想了好久。。。结果还是做不到。
要我做sales，就好像要我嫁给一个我不爱的人一样。感觉 ~~ 受不了！！

结果，想了好久，还是不行。
やっぱり無理かなあって．．．

而且听了朋友的意见，也觉得不需要再去闯。
不排除会转工的可能。可是，至于sales嘛。。。就真的很勉强自己了。

不一定不做sales就不能在marketing这一行待下去。
不一定在original公司就会学到很多东西。
反而，目前我看到的是，待在generics公司，更有机会接触到global market。而这是我想要的。
ほしいです！！

其实，除了偶尔对现有公司的不满以外，继续待下去，还是很有前途的说。
只要自己肯争气，努力一点。。。
很怕到了别的公司以后，会比之前的更糟。那就惨了！

现在，除了继续找marketing的工作以外，就是要努力进补自己。
尤其是对marketing方面的知识。

9月30日晚上，参加了一位同事的wedding dinner。

好久没回家乡了。。。很多人都知道我不爱回老家。

很登对的couple。只羡鸳鸯不羡仙。。。

Tim's B'day @ Little Havana

We went to Little Havana in KL (Bukit Bintang area) to celebrate my colleague, Tim Chen's birthday. It was 22 Sep 06. （￣▽￣）～■□～（￣▽￣）

Tim is a Taiwanese. In fact, quite a typical one. One that can symbolise youngsters in Taiwan.
Of course he's not very young. But not old either.... (What am I trying to say?!)
He is a funny guy, very humurous and knows very well how to make people around him happy and laugh out loud. Even the coldest colleague of mine can't help to laugh at his jokes. He is a quick thinker and very smart. To put it in a nutshell, he is a survivor!!

Seems like I am promoting him here. Ha! But he's not available. He has got a beautiful Japanese girl friend. Oh yeah, he's very “哈日” too! So, finally I've got someone to share my passions with for all Japanese stuff.

He is very sociable. So, that night, around 17 of us consisting of 2 different groups celebrated for him.

Later that night, we went to a nearby gay bar. Ha! It was my first time. I didn't realize it was a gay bar until I saw many "obvious" gays hanging around. But I didn't stay for long. Three of us left earlier....

Later I was told that they saw 2 gays having passionate kiss!!! Ooohhhh... What else have I missed?

很想离开现在的公司 ~ 保守、规则多、发展太慢的一家台湾公司。

为了前途，决定做我最不擅长的一件事 ~ ｓａｌｅｓ
虽然最近在不断找这类的工作和写信去应征，却担心得要命。
怕自己没人要，怕自己做不来...
可是不做又不行啊！！
因为随着年纪的增长，发觉自己已越来越没有市场价值。

以前年轻的时候不服输的精神去了哪？！怎么那么没有自信？

其实我真的很需要一些市场经验。
多一些market exposure对自己的成长也很有帮助，是一种磨练。
好歹我也做过大约一年的part-time直销。虽然做的不开心，也发掘到自己的另一种潜能。

趁我还没到30岁之前，应该做的一件事。

而且，那天给人伤得好惨。。。(>_<)
因为有个ex-colleague在一间规模蛮大的国际pharma上班，也是做sales。
结果，我想可以请她帮忙，就问了她很多有关她公司的几个vacancies的问题。
没想到 ~ 美丽的脸孔背后，也有“这样的xx” 的一颗心。。。

她告诉我，她公司的老板在找一个有销售经验的人。而我没有...
那也罢了。
我又问她，sales rep 的空缺还有吗？
她竟然回问我，为什么我突然这么desperate for a change？
还说他们公司不能够afford我，因为sales rep的起薪很少。

我真的好气！！给一位旧同事泼冷水。
简直是瞧不起我。说什么不能afford我。其实是我不够资格吧！

后来，我跟她解释不是desperate，而是想要市场经验，薪水多少也不在乎。
而且最后一句还谢谢她。
结果。。。她没有再回覆我了。
哼！这个人，我把她给狠狠的记住了。

I mean，为什么她要说这种风凉话呢？
而且之前我也没得罪过她。
我有个朋友想到我那边上班，我也给了很大的帮忙。
甚至是帮她联络HR、老板，帮她安排应征时间，还约她完了以后一起吃个午饭。

再回想，可能她是担心我是药剂师而她不是吧！
毕竟，在这一行我比她较professional。
可是她有的是销售经验，而我没有。有什么好担心呢？！

好吧！那我更不可以输给她看！！！

好想剪个新发型

好想剪个新发型。我现在这个发型也留了蛮久，没什么创新。

一直好想剪个新发型却不知道要剪哪一类的。
卷发吗？好像太多人卷发了。
结果，给我发现到现在流行的bob头。。。

其实很久之前已注意到bob复古发型，却一直没找到合适的照片，也没勇气去尝试。
毕竟得把头发剪短，而且我有自然卷，怕会不适合。

一直都很喜欢Hebe的发型，无论是哪一个。就从S.H.E.走红开始算起吧。

Hebe最新短发。如何？很清爽。

还是苏慧伦的？较有女人味。。

我真的受伤了

昨天早上像往常一样，匆匆忙忙的赶着上班。
结果，经过草丛时，被排得密密麻麻的花枝刮伤。。。

看吧！好深的一道疤痕哦！！
这次糟了。一定要很长的一段时间才能恢复。 ～＞＿＜～

食物还好。说很好吃就不会。选择却蛮多的。
人潮也 不错。
我们一桌六人坐到10点多才离开。
可是我们6点半已经来了。哈哈。。。
Buffet生意就是这样的不好做吧．．？！

还真希望吃进肚里的可以帮助伤口痊愈．．．o(^-^)o

What am I reading recently?

I am a slow reader and am always lazy to read. It has been quite some time since I last read a decent book. This book that I am reading is actually introduced by a taiwanese while I visited the company which she was working with during my trip to Taiwan. The book, "The World is Flat", was written by a famous journalist, Thomas L. Friedman.

Although I've read only up to page 134 out of 500 over pages, I am already deeply impressed by what he meant by the world is flat. He told us in his book what were the flattening forces in nowadays' world.

May be I do not read often and I know not much about what's happening in the real world now; but what he had to tell us in his book, what he observed, and what he thought, are simply just amazing!! The book was not written out of nothing or due to imagination. He really took the effort to travel around and interviewed many important persons in order to come out with his conclusions. Afterall, he is a journalist! The book is not boring at all! Of course, what impressed me most is the facts he delivered.

I just read today's The Star and this book was ranked no.1 bestseller (non-fiction category) for the week ending 27th August.

Definitely my top recommendation!!! ｂ（￣▽￣）ｄ

I hope I could finish this book fast and focus myself on another bestseller - Blue Ocean Strategy. Excellent book for those in the marketing, business owners and entrepreneurs.

千里之外 - 超赞的一首歌

好久没听电台，今天第一次听到周杰伦的新歌 - 千里之外，就爱上了。没想到9月8日才推出的他的新专辑，在网站上已可下载。那些网友实在是太厉害了！而且YouTube还可找得到mv哩！

这首歌找来了费玉清合唱，别有一番风味。一个是pop的唱腔，一个是演绎旧曲的老唱将，绝对是很棒的组合。可以说，这首歌因为有费玉清而变得更加出色。犹记得小的时候超爱费玉清的[一剪梅]了。不过，周杰伦的演绎也不赖，少其中一人都不行哦！

Health Concern

Just heard from mum that my 4th auntie was diagnosed with cancer. We are still not sure how serious it is. Earlier on she has had tumour in her ovary and was removed. Benign or malignant I am not sure. I was even more shocked to find out that all my aunties from my mother side have got cancers! ALL!!!! ╰（‵□′）╯

Althogether 3 of them. All have cancers at different sites. All the while I'd thought that I should be safe since I did not have family history of cancers. Since I'd not heard of any such cases happening in my family. Now only I know I've very serious cases of family history of cancers!! I suddenly feel like ....... orz ╮（╯＿╰）╭

I did not know about these earlier is it because I don't give a damn?!

Besides praying for them and hoping that they will get well very soon, I must also start to take care of myself. I am known to my colleagues and friends that I do not take care of what I eat. I drink coffee everyday. I like to drink "yin yong" and "teh". With ice!!! Even though I feel the after effect of teh, I still pamper myself with all these unhealthy drinks and foods.

I really should be serious about this. May even consider becoming a vegetarian liao... （┬＿┬）

My New Sony Ericsson

This is my newly bought walkman phone from Sony Ericsson - model no. w810i. I bought it for RM1240 with a free screen protector from a dealer in SS2. It comes with a Memory Stick Pro Duo 512MB. Cool?!

I like its black colour, so that it doesn't look obvious when it gets dirty. Black is cool too!! And I have a Hello Kitty handphone strap which I bought in Bangkok. It goes well with my handphone. ha~! ＜（￣︶￣）＞

Still have to get used to using this new handphone since my previous one was Samsung. Anway, it's fun pressing the buttons when I am bored...

The reason I am willing to fork out this amount of money is because it's basically a 3-in-1 combination of handphone, walkman and camera. Very convenient!! You can just take out your handphone when you want to take a quick snap. I mean, who will bring their camera around all the time?!! And you can listen to the music from your walkman phone when you need some entertainment, e.g. while waiting or travelling. Oh yeah! It comes with radio too!

A good choice ~ yeah?! ｂ（￣▽￣）ｄ
