Found out a new tech in Sunway Pyramid II parking lot~

See the red & green lights on top & along the row?
It gives shoppers an easy indication without going through much hassle...
Just a look at the lights from one end straight away tells you which space is empty.
Isn't this easy?
What a brilliant idea~!
It proves how new tech can help to make our lives easier...

I aslo saw one method which helps to save 3 or more parking spaces by parking on a moveable track which moves with a simple push of button...
I forgot which parking lot was that but it's in KL
and I didn't take picture of that...
Probably you've seen that and know which one I'm refering to...

竟然很大差别!
不由得慌了~

值得吗？？
只因不甘心？？

昨天晚上十点才下班。
竟然听到了让人很失望的话。
顿时觉得付出了许多，
不但没被赞赏，还被暗喻自己太软弱。。。
可悲的是，没有人能了解这份工作所承担的辛苦、责任、压力
最可悲的是 ~ 薪水一点也不多
还有嫌 "underpaid" 的感觉。

我牺牲的不只是时间而已。。
还有快乐、健康、容貌、
还有和男友的感情。。

这一切都值得吗？？

我老板问我，“你认为你什么时候能confirm？”
我好想说，“你最好不要confirm我，那我就可以24小时内丢信，另谋高就。”
反正最近正缺钱用。。。

Battle Ground Finale @ RUUMS

Because of my company, I got myself free tickets to Battle Ground Finale live at RUUMS yesterday night~
The main sponsor was Gatsby~
Those who followed shoud know this hip-hop dance competition.
It was shown in Astro.

Quite a great experience to watch this kind of dancing competition.
although I can't dance...
But I like to see people dancing energetically with beautiful movements...
I especially like "locking"... it's cool n' fun!!!

Since we are the "VIP Guests", we got to go in before the rest of the audience...
and grabbed ourselves good seats...

Expectedly Racken Force with the most supporters won the battle.
To me, the 2 teams who entered the finale were great.
The first prize went to Twister ET.
They are all gifted dancers!!!


The hosts were Danny 温立铭 and Shalin
I didn't know who was Shalin but I heard from the crowd that she was a dancer, and at the opening she did some dance movements which was beautiful and yeah! she is a great dancer.

MCR Live in KL

First time ever in my life been to a concert by a rock band ~ "My Chemical Romance"
... in short ~ MCR ~
... on the night of 9th Dec, 07 ~

We bought the cheapest seats @ RM103 per ticket
although we got an early bird discount...
(RM83 each person after discount)

The most MEMORABLE concert I've ever been to...
Why??
Not because the show was marvelous...
Not because I fell head over heels instantly with the band on that night...

But because of some unforgettable things that had happened on that night...

Yeah,
firstly ~ I was kind of shocked to see most of the rock concert goers are Malays!!!
then ~ badly enough ~ we were still caught outside the stadium when the concert started at 6.30pm ~with opening act~ luckily MCR was not on the stage yet...
The sky was drizzling...
but people waiting eargerly to get inside were getting more and more impatient and irritated...
After waiting "in line" for more than an hour, the crowd started squeezing one another and practically elbowed their way through the entrance into the stadium...
They were screaming, scolding, kicking the gate and some even tore off the promo flag and posters to showed their anger...
Some even risked their lives and climbed up to the water tank...

I wasn't having fun at all at that time~ (>_<。)
in fact I was abit scared because I felt like I couldn't breath and was trapped inside the crowd... couldn't even inch my body forward or backward...
For several times I felt like breaking away from the crowd to take a fresh breath of air.
Imagine all the sweaty smell lingering in the "adjacent" air...
Then ~ the thought of stampede scared me even further...
I started to pray and I was abit regret to come to this show.
It wasn't worthwhile to "sacrifice" my life for MCR.... I was thinking...

Luckily,
we went through safely to the stadium after much body-to-body squeezing
...and we rather chose to sit further from the crowd...

The sky was still drizzling...
and luckily our umbrella wasn't confiscated.
Anway, we were given a plastic pocket raincoat.

And then ~
since we had barely eaten before the concert.. ～＞＿＜～
I was struck with hunger pain and couldn't focus my mind on the show...
Moreover, I didn't know much about MCR's songs except for 2 songs...
and I am not into rock music... that's the main reason...

We only got to eat our dinner at 10 something after the show ended at around 9.15pm
BTW, it started at around 8pm and so it was kind of short...
and yet the ticket was so expensive.

おいしい Balinese Food

I seldom blog about food but good food must be shared... (^-^)b

We went to this Ole-Ole Bali restaurant on Sat nite ~
and as the name suggests, it serves balinese food ☆

In fact, this was the second time we ate in this restaurant,
and surprisingly, it was crowded than before.
We had to get our names written down on the "wait list" and wait patiently for our turn...
~ of course, partly because it was a Saturday night ~


The serving was big and we ordered this lemongrass half chicken served with rice, ikan bilis, spinach, and an additional rice to share...
ooOO... yummy... delicious!!! ｂ（￣▽￣）ｄ

Today after work ~ on my way to SS2 ~ saw this toy being hung onto this Proton Wira...

Forgot what's the name of this toy...

It was my first time seeing somebody hanging a toy that way... letting it touching the ground...

Certainly it did attract attention but... what a "cruel" way...

Maybe we are girls... me and my colleague (who was inside my car at that time) weren't intrigued by the unique idea of how the car owner treated his "puppet" (my guess is that the owner most likely is a "he" and not "she") ~~

What do you think? "Cruel" or "Cool"??

My New ESPRIT Spectacle

自从进入新公司以后 ~ 觉得自己的脑袋总是装得满满的~~
变得很懵懂。。。很“大头虾”
时常忘记这忘记那。。也常常犯小错误。。(￣▽￣")

出差时竟第一次把眼镜遗漏在酒店内。。m(_ _)m
结果得配新的一幅。

花了我RM530哩!!! ～＞＿＜～
单单眼眶就RM250。
眼眶是蓝色的，我蛮喜欢。。。
而且ESPRIT的眼眶盒设计也很精致、漂亮~~
关口处是magnet的呢!

虽然不常戴眼镜，但这次可不能掉以轻心咯~~~
因为真的好贵。。。（＞﹏＜）

Like it alot and it is meant for walking rather than a sport shoes...

So, next time I can just slip on it whenever I want to go for a long-hour walking or travelling overseas...

The price is RM279.90!!!

but I just paid RM79.90....??

My 1st Annual Meeting in S'pore

Went to Singapore for a regional meeting yesterday and just got back today.
S'pore is my most visited country... definitely more than 10 times.
but still.... I will never say that I am very familiar with S'pore, given what an absent-minded kind of person I am. I never pay too much attention to the surroundings.... never...

I was very stressed before this meeting...
As most of them I'd never met before.
And I will be presenting, just after 2 months joining the company, my still "limited" knowledge of both the brand and the company in front of these people...
Yes, I was damn nervous!

Surprisingly it turned out to be a fruitful one.
I was complimented, even by my own boss.... although I sounded unsteady in the beginning.
I used to do a lot of trainings for my staff with my previous company and yet, when it came to presentation in front of a bunch of strangers... lack of confidence and 自我要求 are the major killers!!!

It is my 1st time I've this feeling that I'm working with a group of real marketers. One of them is a superb iron lady whose years of experience and expertise really make her stands out. She's one of those few I believe most ladies would look up to. As for me, I know I will never be like her and I do not wish to be like her although I respect her professionalism. As my colleague quoted, she is a very strategic person. (^-^)b

1st time I wasn't scarred sleeping alone in a hotel room o(^-^)o
In fact, I enjoyed spending time alone inside the room, surfing the net for free!


and I managed to do a last minute shopping & grabbed a pair of shoes~
from Charles & Keith (S'porean designers if I'm not wrong)
which costed me S$31.90 after 20% off.

你喜欢哪个歌手的声音？

向来我听歌除了旋律要好听以外，我非常注重歌手的唱腔和声线。
虽然我不怎么会唱歌。。。但听歌时会被我喜欢的声音而吸引~~
比深入人心的歌词更甚~

中文歌手说真的没多少个有惊人的嗓子。“偶像派”居多。
像蔡依林、杨丞琳都是很红但唱歌不怎么样的歌手。
个人认为比较有实力的声音有戴佩妮，苏慧伦，卫兰，温岚，蔡健雅，郑秀文，顺子等。
我最不欣赏的就是唱歌有气无力或娃娃音，如：金沙。
不过娇得来又很棒的声音有王苑芝和玄子。
我也不喜欢太过卖弄声音（一直狂飙高音），“喊歌”多过唱歌的张惠妹和Jacklyn Victor。
也不欣赏模仿派歌手如孙燕姿。

另外一位想特别介绍的歌手是唱腔很有特色，非常有实力的女歌手。
第一次听她唱“我们的爱”就被她的歌声深深吸引。
她有受过声乐训练。
她就是FIR的 ~ 阿飞。

她真的很用心去唱歌。
FIR的特色之一就是阿飞。
在FIR的新专辑里，她就尝试了很多不同的唱法，如下：

唱法1 ~ 九转十八弯《月牙湾》
阿飞舍弃了以往充满摇滚味道的唱法，改成吟唱的方式，更自创了“九转十八弯”式唱腔。她解释说，就是在流行唱法的基础上，融入了西部民族腔调的转音。

唱法2 ~ 梵音堆栈式《月牙湾》
阿飞还自己设计了一种叫“梵音堆栈式”的合音，她说，就是用很多种不同的方式和声调去演唱副歌部分，最后把这些声音合并起来，就营造出一种令人遐想的和声效果。

唱法3 ~ 重金属《第十行星》
建宁说，在这首歌里，阿飞展现了令人想象不到的重金属唱法，很有爆裂的感觉。

唱法4 ~ 爵士《BlueDoorsAhead》
阿飞说，这是她第一次尝试爵士风格的作品，演唱起来特别深情，与以往她给大家的感觉完全不一样。

唱法5 ~ 海豚音《爱过》
这是F.I.R有史以来最难的一首歌曲，24度音域，阿飞运用头、鼻、胸腔同时集中共鸣，唱出超越正常人声频率的“海豚音”。阿飞说，录完这首歌后她差点晕过去。

唱法6 ~ 古典歌剧《荼靡时代》
这是F.I.R与香港词人林夕、陈晖扬的首度合作，建宁说，这缘起于陈晖扬“十二金钗”的想法，阿飞就是唯一被邀请的台湾歌手。

Company Trip to Club Med @ Cherating

My first time to Club Med @ Cherating...

A self-paid company trip since I'm not a confirmed staff as yet...

In fact, I was the only unconfirmed staff who joined the trip. Some new staff didn't bother to fork out about RM1K when they were offered the chance to join the rest of us in this annual trip. Am I the foolish one?! Anyway, my main purpose is to grab this golden opportunity to get to know my colleagues especially those who work closely with me. Anyway, I didn't regret a bit joining this trip, as the experience was amazing, thanks to Club Med. Our only regret was the stay was too short.... only 2 days 2 nights...

It's really a good retreat for stressful working adults looking for relaxation and worry-free holidays. There are many activities offered within Club Med itself. There are archery, yoga lessons, fitness centre, sailing, kayaking, wall climbing, roller blading, golf, swimming pool, circus and many others. The drinks are free-flow. At night, they even have shows, life band, dancing and some games. It was too bad that I didn't get myself engaged in all the activities which I wish to try. I only get to try kayaking, swimming, pin pong, and some games.

I wanted to try archery but when I was preparing to shoot my very first arrow, rain started pouring all of a sudden and I was ordered to stop... (>人<)
Anway, the activities are according to schedule and therefore I would advise to plan ahead so that you wouldn't waste unnecessary time.

The GOs (gracious organizers) there are mostly friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Even the shower gel smells good and moisturizing, as compared to what offered by hotels.

I hope I could stay longer... Anyway, I did enjoy my stay there and I hope I could have the chance to visit Club Med once again with my loved ones (but of course not the one in Cherating)... o(^-^)o

New Work Life

Ever since I joined this new company, "stress" and "tension" are the best descriptions of my new work life. Given a totally new and different industry compared to the previous pharma line which I was in, I feel like I'm a freshman. Yes, I've left my "comfort zone" to join a new and challenging lifestyle, but it did not come without any sacrifices...

Compared to previous company, my new company is relatively smaller. In my department, only 2 staff take care of the brand. I just realised the difference -- in this new company, I finally grasp the meaning of "one-leg-kick".

The good things are: able to learn new things, able to gain new skills, able to improve self values, get to know new friends/colleagues, able to experience new work cultures...

The downsides are: no time for Japanese class, no time for Gym, work til late everyday and even have to bring work to home and work during weekends/public holidays, less outing, less blogging and internet surfing, tensed all-day, dark circles getting darker, mood is adversely affected (you get mood swings and sometimes will cry when really upset/down), even health is negatively affected...

I do not know whether it's worth it...

At the end of the day, I feel so exhausted and... can only utter one word, "taklaratla"!!!

My 1st Karaoke with Japanese

On the 8th of Oct, my new Japanese company organized a welcome cum farewell dinner for me and my 3 other colleagues. There were 3 tables altogether, and as one of the newcomers, I had to sit in the same table with my president and sn. exec director.

Well, it was considered a warm welcome for me. As it was the first time a company had ever organised a welcome party for their staff. It was a sit-down dinner ~ we were served Chinese dishes (in case you are thinking Japanese food).

Later that night, after we finished our dinner at around 9.30pm, I was one of the staff invited for a drink+karaoke session with the senior management staff at Plaza Mont. Kiara. It was a karaoke lounge meant for Japanese.

Inside the karaoke room, we were not short of full selection of Japanese songs, of course. I was so excited to see even the latest Japanese songs were in the list! Haha! What a waste that I haven't practised to sing any of these newest songs lately. Or to be more precise, most of the Japanese songs are difficult for me to sing ~~ too high-pitched for my voice.

It was real fun when it came to the singing part. Heheh... it was also my first time singing K with my managers, directors and president. Each of us have to sing a song and we used "jankenpon" (猜拳 or mora in Japanese) to determine who sings first. Haha! This was fun too!

Surprisingly, most of them can sing very well, especially my Japanese president. Another Japanese manager in his 40s caught me by surprise when he chose to sing Ketsumeishi
(ケツメイシ)'s song, which is a mixture of rap and singing.

I'd to sing two songs. The first round I sang a Mandarin song as I hadn't managed to search from a thick list the Japanese song I wanted within a time constraint. The 2nd turn, I managed to find the song ~ Yuki no Hana (雪の華) by Nakashima Mika (中島美嘉). Then I showed off a bit by being the only non-Japanese in the group to sing Japanese song. Although I did sing quite badly (especially at the high-pitch note), I was complimented, out of their politeness. （＾－＾）

We had fun until 12.10am. By the time I reached home, it was already 12.35am and imagine I still had to get up at 6am to commute to work... (>_<。)

Anyway, it was a fun experience to share.... as I've always liked to sing karaoke. And it may be the strong reason to keep me in this company, despite the troughs I am going through in the office day in day out.... ｍ（＿　＿）ｍ

Last Saturday ~ 25 Aug ~ we celebrated my ex-colleague's birthday @ Precious Old China restaurant & bar, which is located on the mezzanine floor of Central Market.

They serve nyonya cuisine.
And they have a branch in Petaling street.

The things/displays inside the restaurant are mostly vintage and artistic.
Not only do they serve good food but for those antiques lover,
I'm sure they will find this place magnificent!!! (*^▽^*)
