Online Purchase Again...

Haha~ can't wait to show off skincare/makeup/haircare products that I have just bought online...

It all started with me reading a local blogger's blog by chance. She likes to try out different skincare brands and share her review on her blog.

She bought many unfamiliar brands (but popular in Taiwan) online and she mentioned about using Niu Er's (牛爾) products which she has also bought online and which she said rather good. This led me to check on the websites she mentioned.

I don't buy just because of her recommendation but because I'm also one person who likes to try new things especially skincare and makeup. I'm one of those consumers who have no brand loyalty. Of course, since it's Niu Er and Kevin's products (they are very famous skincare/makeup gurus in Taiwan due to the famous program show - 女人我最大), my confidence towards the products has increased.

Surprisingly, the price range is also affordable. Why not give it a try?! If it's good, I may switch to Kevin's makeup products! As for Niu Er's products, I'm still uncertain as I have to be quite careful with skincare products since I've sensitive skin.

Ok, will talk about effects of the products next time after I have used it...

S.H.E 2010 演唱会

Hooray~

好久没看演唱会咯!!!

因为我总是会支持的周杰伦已有好一段日子没有搞音乐了。

而我一直好想体会至少一次的S.H.E和梁静茹的演唱会，却还是觉得不值得票价而迟迟没有行动。

没有想到现在竟然可以实现!!!

因为是免费，所以特别开心~

呵呵! 其实之后无论如何都要请肯让出演唱会票的人吃一顿好的。

明天就是了。好期待哦~

One Jpop group that has never failed me

曾经有几位好友在唱K的时候问我为什么不唱日语歌。
我的答案是，不是我不要唱，而是太难唱。
所谓的太难，不是看不懂日语。因为如果抓懂了基本的拼音，就算不懂意思也唸得出来。
所谓的太难，是因为日本女歌手大多数都好高音，我“拉”不上。要知道我是个不太会唱歌的人，要飙高音的确难倒我哟!!

大多数日本女歌手都有很typical的“鸡仔”声。也不晓得是不是天生，所以歌曲的key都很高，很难唱。其实会唱歌的人就算声线比较粗，也可以拉高音，例如日本歌手Misia和中国歌手刘力扬等。

我的确不大欣赏“鸡仔”声，如滨崎步。可是不知道为何会很喜欢mihimaru GT的女歌手Hiroko。她有的是typical的“鸡仔”声，却还是不知怎么的很喜欢他们的歌。一来是音乐好听，我的那杯茶。个人认为她是天生“鸡仔”声，可是唱歌有实力。

没有多少歌手能够唱现场也好像听CD般那么好。

其中我最爱的歌，Love is...

现代的东方英雄

8TV最近正播着台湾最新电视剧《熊猫人》，由周董策划并执导，讲的是2030年光明市的熊猫超人和熊猫侠两位华人英雄如何行侠仗义的故事。

西方有超人、蝙蝠侠、蜘蛛侠等英雄。周董不甘示弱，精心策划了现代亚洲英雄。因为古代英雄我们有黄飞鸿、叶问等。这样的构思，我个人觉得还蛮可爱的说。



要推荐的是片尾曲。由女主角之一的江语晨唱的《最后一页》。非常周式的歌曲，意外地却由南拳妈妈的宇豪谱曲、弹头填词（两位也是饰演熊猫英雄的男主角）。

女歌手

欣赏的歌手不多。
对女歌手比较钟情，可能是因为比较有共鸣吧!
唱起来也容易，不需要压低嗓子。
当然不太会唱歌的我也唱不了一些高音女歌手的歌。

可惜的是，最近比较杰出的女歌手，唱了一两首好歌，就再也没有可以让我继续想听下去的理由了。是不是都没有找到好的曲子，还是杰出的作曲家已没多少个了。

上述的我原本还蛮欣赏却很失望的歌手包括：卫兰，谢安琪，FIR的Faye，戴佩妮，日本歌手Ayaka，安室奈美惠。

反而让我惊喜的是把情歌诠释的越来越好、越有个人风格的梁静茹。
最新崛起的刘力杨，Lala徐佳莹，西洋歌手Taylor Swift是最近蛮喜欢的声音。

从一开始喜欢，到现在还是那么情有独钟的，我想，就唯独日本歌手中岛美嘉了。
她的音乐越听越耐听。她的声音我还是那么喜欢。她的专辑我等了好久。她的美貌冷酷我最喜欢。她的每张专辑我从不错过。

等了多个月，结果还是single。
何时才会出album呢...

The "3 Habits"

There are 3 habits that I must change.
I have tried to change but just couldn't make myself to change.
I give myself many excuses to keep putting off, although I know clearly that these changes will benefit me.

I have bought "7 habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey years ago but until now still have "no time" to read...

The 3 habits that I would love to change, for a better me:

1. To wake up at 7am on working days so that I can go to work early, finish work early and come home early. At the moment, I reach office at around 9am and reach home at around 8.30pm. By the time I eat my dinner it's already almost 9pm. Not healthy ya?! Worse still, sometimes by the time I shower it's almost 12am.

2. To read more. Still, I am not reading enough although I love to read fashion magazines. I would love to read more about what are happening around the world, some non-fiction or inspirational books. However, this kind of books usually do not come with storyline, are full of theories, are boring sometimes and in the end, reading the first page already makes me feel like giving up.

3. To be less detailed. Or in other words, to be more efficient. This is a habit which is not easy to change. It's built within your character. For me, being a perfectionist, I focus a lot on details. Therefore, I've to keep reminding myself to let go of harmless details and to focus on important and urgent things first. Luckily I am conscious of this "unfavourble" habit of mine. I'm still reminding myself and learning to change.

Paul&Joe彩妆

哈哈~又添新货了!!!

很多杂志都有介绍 Paul&Joe 的化妆品，当然除了好用，包装也很精致、漂亮。

有时候只要包装漂亮就可以赢得很多女子的心了。。

很多台湾的美容达人都有推荐 Paul&Joe 的糖瓷粉底乳, 所以想要尝试很久了，却碍于柜台很少找得到。。。终于今天给我在Subang Parade的Parkson无意中见到，就算已有一大堆的粉底也忍不住买了下来。

1. Paul&Joe Protective Fluid Foundation SPF25 PA++ RM151 (这款适合夏天使用，摸了不用涂防晒，适合懒人。其实我是想减少涂那么多层，减轻脸上的负担)

Annual Meeting の Part 2

We were served with good food during our Langkawi annual meeting although most were food served by the hotel. I am not a choosy eater after all.

I did not capture pictures of all the food we had but only some interesting ones...


We ate at a restaurant which I was told was once swept away by Tsunami. They rebuilt it.
I got a shock when they served this dish as the prawns were really big. And yummy too.


With spoon & fork by the side, can you imagine how big is the prawn? It was fresh too!


The company even arranged for us a fine dining in The Andaman's restaurant.
Each dish comes with small portion but very long name.
This was the 1st dish - Smoked Tasmanian Salmon Pancake, Sour Cream with Crisp Salad Leaves, Salmon Roe dressing


2nd dish - Grilled Marinated King Prawns and Scallops Skewer
Tomato Relish and Idaho Patato Salad
Lobster Bisque


3rd dish & the last one - Warm Chocolate and Royale Apple Tartlet
Served with Vanilla Ice Cream

These were all so-so only.

I don't know about Andaman but in Datai, I was told a normal fried rice costs them RM40+ per plate. ~wow~

2009 Annual Dinner & Meeting

December is supposed to be an enjoyable, relaxing month and people are starting to clear off their leaves. For me, December is a busy month because we just had our annual dinner+meeting in mid Dec. I started preparing for the meeting since end Nov.

Our company's annual dinner was done in KL Hilton. The theme is top hat and the dress code is... there is no dress code.
Perhaps everybody was mistaken about the meaning of "top hat" (including myself) because everybody was wearing various types of hat/cap to the dinner. They were all very creative.

The second day, we flew off to Langkawi for our kick off meeting. We stayed in The Datai, which is about 45minutes drive from town centre and which normally costs >RM1,000 per night.


It has got 2 basins so that I don't have to fight for toilet with my room mate. Heheh~


The bath tub comes with jacuzzi but I didn't try. However, I did go for swimming in their swimming pool which was soothing and a nice experience.


On day 2 @ Langkawi, we went for Mangrove Tour where we rode in a motor boat and toured around the island. It was a sunny day but we were having great fun riding the boat. As the wind breezed through my face, I felt cold on the outside but warm in my heart.


We stopped by a few tourist spots including bat's cave and a fish farm, where I saw this sting ray and I even got to touch it!!!


We were brought to a place where we saw how eagles were being fed with chicken's skin. Those eagles were awesome.


Later on our way back, the boat man told us that the monkeys could swim and asked us to lure them to the water with food. So, my collegue threw them biscuits and they really jumped into the water to grab their food!


We suddenly had this "silly" idea while walking back towards the hotel after the mangrove tour.


After 2 nights' stay, we moved to another nearby hotel - Andaman. This hotel was slightly cheaper, I was told. Around RM400++ per night.


The hotel was very near to the beach and it has got a swimming pool too! We spotted this monitor lizard besides the swimming pool and right in front of a sign board which reads "Beware, monitor lizard crossing". Haha~what an irony!


The last night before we depart for KL, we had our gala dinner in the hotel itself. This time, the theme is "Black & Chic". I have many black dresses. Luckily I don't have to buy a new dress for this event.

Overall, we spent 6 days 5 nights in Langkawi. It was fun and a memorable experience. Although I had to rush for my presentation slides in the first few days, I also had fun with my colleagues during our dinner, when we were happily chit chatting and when we played wii in the hotel's room.

Recommending OxySolution Mousse

I haven't been blogging for the whole Dec... so, perhaps, this will be my last blog entry in year 2009...

It's year end and many shopping places are having sales!!!

Planned to do some shopping the other day... and because I've been having a red, allergic patch on my face which never seems to heal despite applying steroid cream on it (yes, it did subside after using steroid cream but it comes back very soon the next day or 2 days after)... so, I planned to switch back to Aqua Juju foam wash even though I haven't finished using my current Avene foaming facial wash.

I suspected it was the Avene facial wash since the patch becomes very itchy almost every time after I've washed my face, although Avene products are meant for sensitive skin....

Probably those facial washes that are rich in foam do not suit me. My skin is becoming more and more sensitive (due to aging, I think).

So, I went to SaSa to shop for this Aqua Juju foam wash, which I have used before and which I find it quite good. And it's a budget product (about RM65+ if I don't remember wrongly). You only need to press a few pumps and foam comes out instantly, no need to lather it with water.

However, when I asked for Aqua Juju, the sales assistant introduced me another similar type of foam wash instead. And it's Beauty Talk Oxysolution. She tried it on my skin and it appeared quite soothing. The Beauty Talk sales promoter was also there and kept on persuading me and even told me that Aqua Juju's hyaluronic acid content is very rich and might not suit everybody.

Finally, I was convinced to give it a try since it's RM89.90, a little bit more expensive but still cheaper than Clarins.


Aqua Juju Foam Wash


Beauty Talk OxySolution mousse - can be used as makeup remover, facial wash as well as toner.

First, I used steroid cream to make sure the red patch is cleared. Then, I tried it every morning and evening to replace my existing Avene facial wash. Surprisingly, the red patch never come back! It's mild and does not irritate my skin. But sometimes I tend to pump for a few more pumps since it seems to be too mild and feels like doesn't cleanse well enough.

Then, I was even more surprised by the lifting effect of Beauty Talk's another product -
Oxymask (same brand) which was featured in 女人我最大. You can find out more from youtube:

每星期都会期待和守住这部偶像剧在youtube的“播出”，因为还蛮新鲜的配搭，而且小猪演得好棒!
虽然土，却好可爱~

刚看了第四集，觉得这一段组合的舞蹈好棒，忍不住在此分享了。
小猪的调皮，加上丞琳的可爱，真的很精彩!!!
他们跳得很棒，很有默契呢!!!

好用的Hand Cream

最近不知怎的，手的皮肤好干，连干纹都跑出来了，而且还会痛。
尤其是呆在公司超冷的冷气房里头。
抹了Clarins的Hand & Nail Cream也不行。
后来就在逛街时顺便买了以hand cream闻名的L'Occitane 20% shea butter hand cream 150ml (RM97)。

Shea butter有很好的保湿作用，对妊娠纹也蛮有效。
它的味道不错，不会太重。抹了以后不会太油腻，但也不会太清爽。
因为若清爽的话就表示保湿作用不够好哦。

不太爱用body cream 或 hand cream之类的我，会留在办公室里用。
有需要时就可以随手可得了。

Do you DRESS to KILL?

昨天上班因衣服的颜色比较缤纷夺目而遭受“批评”。。。
一位比我年轻的女同事一见到我就说： “怎么今天的穿扮这么像学生？”
另一位跟我年纪一样的男同事却道： “怎么穿成个auntie一样？”

奥迈尬!!! 怎么会有差异那么大的评语啊?!
那我该相信谁?!
还是相信自己好了。

结果引来了另一位“阿叔”年纪的男同事的“唠叨”，说什么有些衣服不适合在公司穿（因为他曾看过我穿网袜），尤其是像我们这种比较保守的公司，还列出另一位所谓的好榜样 -- 一位也是将近退休年龄的女同事。那“阿婆”女同事又加把嘴，说有些人“not dress to work but dress to kill”。

~汗颜~

记得我以前的男性boss曾说过，上班也要尊重场合，化一点simple makeup，穿漂亮一点，别人看到美的东西也会开心。我觉得他说的一点也没错。

其实我不喜欢看到同事没化妆，脸色苍白的来上班，看了很不舒服。除非她天生丽质那就另当别论。可是没有多少个是受上天眷恋的。幸好我现在的同事大多已工作了多年，知道上班化妆是基本礼貌，除了那位“阿婆”女同事和几个初出茅庐的毕业生之外。

喜欢打扮的我，当然也希望打扮得漂漂亮亮上班，除了让自己开心，也会自信多一点。所以，那句“dress to kill”听起来好刺耳。什么是dress to kill? 一些不精心打扮的人就算了，难道打扮得漂亮一点也是过错吗？还是认为只懂打扮的人一定办事不好呢？因为漂亮的人都不聪明吗？

对不起，我向来觉得自己是个懂得打扮（虽然还要多多学习），做事认真，头脑也不笨的人哦!!!而且我引以为傲呢!

或许我还是谨慎选购office attire好一点。不然会被认为不得体。。。

（我承认网袜的确不适合在这间公司穿，所以也只穿过一次吧了）

后记：这件就是我那天穿去上班而引来话题的一件式dress。适合上班穿吗? 是auntie还是student? 颜色太鲜艳了吗? 我还很高兴地买了下来，因为才花了RM60+，而且免烫，很方便。

My new no-name GPS navigator

Finally~after months of comparing prices and searching for the most user-friendly GPS navigator, found this model through an online forum (lowyat forum).

Made in China by a factory which is a subsidiary of a German company, hence a German technology, according to the seller.



A 4.3" display touch screen with 4G SD card and all the basic accessories, it costs me RM490 (plus free screen protector). What I like most is it comes with 3 maps (Garmin, Papago & Igo) for me to choose from. If you buy Garmin, you can only have Garmin map, if I'm not wrong.

The cheapest Garmin model is Nuvi 205 which the latest price I've checked with Aeco dealer is around RM580. A smaller screen and it doesn't support junction view. The papago version that I have is Papagox3 which comes with junction view, 3D building view and lane assist.


This screen shows the 3 map options for you to choose from. It also supports other features like mp3, mp4 player, ebook and others, which I don't think I will use often.


This is the Papago map. The seller recommends Papago instead of Garmin because of the road search function. I do prefer Papago map because of its map which is clearer and which comes with lane assist & junction view which are definitely helpful.

One point to take note is that it will, most of the time, lead you to big roads rather than shortcuts. However, if you know your way and use your own preferred road, it will recalculate routing and lead you to correct destination ultimately.

I am really happy that I've come across and bought this unit which is more afforadable and which comes with functions that I want.

海派甜心

台湾最新偶像剧 ~ 海派甜心 ~ 将在11月1日在台湾电视上映。
杨丞琳和罗志祥的配搭 = 新鲜组合。
而且这次小猪的造型像足了宅男，不晓得会擦出怎样的火花呢!!

看了第一集，还蛮搞笑的。就是那种很戏剧化的浪漫台湾偶像剧。
而且杨丞琳撇开以往可爱的形象，第一次演暴走女，有点像《恶魔在身边》的女版恶魔。

第一集就蛮吸引人了，所以，还蛮期待第二集的说~

康复ing...

~又是倒霉的十月~

刚开始是眼睛下方长了个超大痘痘，肿得连眼周也受影响。
结果，害怕之下便找了个著名的皮肤专科看诊，等了一个多小时，给他看了才不过5分钟左右就出来了。医生给了我几粒cefaclor和一小罐药膏涂。我向同事打趣道，他不止帮我把痘痘挤出来，连眼泪也挤出来了。

结果就吃了将近一个星期的抗生素。还没吃完，又遇到另一件倒霉事。。。

那就是一天清晨吃完早餐正准备上班时，却在下楼梯级的时候，忽然间鞋子太松，失去平衡，就酱子整个人趴在地上。幸好人少，只有一位路过的auntie看见。有一点点糗，因为这么大个人了还跌倒。

这还事小。因为最痛苦的就要发生了。。。

过没两天，和boss讨论时因为太多事要处理，boss的expectation没有因而降低，工作压力很大。回家以后就病倒了。请了一天病假，第二天在我祈祷之下，身体稍微好了些便上班去了。谁知道下班的时候又复发，而且还严重到在诊所里等候的时候，身体不由自主地在发抖。结果第二天还是没好转。而且烧退了又来，panadol也无辄，就知道这次的病不简单。

抽了血来验，只是单纯的viral infection，收了我rm70，还叫我等到拜一再去验多一次血。结果，挨了几天以后，忍不住入院去了。

第一次住院，第一次吊盐水，第一次跟陌生人同睡，第一次连续几天没洗澡洗头。。。

后来医生证实是骨痛热症，每天要抽血一次量血小板的数量。第一次量的时候竟然跌至8,000。俗称蚊症没药可医，只能靠本身的抵抗力。我从来没试过这么辛苦，这么难熬。晚上没办法好好入睡，因为胃涨得好辛苦，只能平躺，不能侧睡。没有胃口，吃了就吐，所以更不想吃。身体也非常虚弱，呼吸急促，说话无力。偏偏雪上加霜，还来月事，每隔三小时就得更换一次。每换完一次躺在床上时，就好像一口气爬了几层楼梯那么地虚脱。

后来地后来，病卧在床了几天以后，有一晚终于睡的比较熟，醒来以后好像有些起色。当天血小板数量已起到40,000多，医生可怜我住了四天院，便准许我回家继续休养几天再回去看他。

现在的我已在康复中，胃口也恢复了。接下来要面对的当然是堆积了多过一个礼拜的工作量，真的不堪设想。因为有些好像已经赶不上dateline了。如果老板不通情达理，那我也没办法。就算要我另谋高就，也只好接受现实了。。。最重要是我还有健康。

抱病在身的这段时期，幸好还有家人的悉心照顾，不然更加难熬。还有一些好友的关心慰问，和同事的祝福。。。

C&K 凉鞋

说好了不要乱花钱，却还是忍不住，“美食当前，垂涎三尺”啊!!
稍为看到户口有些钱就乱花，收到了当个月的卡单方“恍然大悟”，却为时已晚!

平时不爱穿平底鞋的我，跟好友逛街时，试了一双又一双漂亮的C&K凉鞋后，再也忍不住，
把一双最爱的抱回家。尤其是近来这种凉鞋还蛮流行的。连张小娴也买了一双Valentino的。可是本小姐没本事买名牌，只能够afford C&K。



这双带点蛇皮花纹的银色凉鞋穿在脚上还蛮抢眼、蛮酷的。虽然不是名牌却不输给Valentino哦!!
说好不买太贵的鞋子却还是忍不住了。。。


如果我是那种不爱打扮的女生，一定可以省下好多钱。
至少不必花费在衣装、化妆品和护肤品上。

还是不要出门比较好。不逛街就少一点花费了。。。

耐听的一首歌

最近蛮喜欢Taylor Swift的歌。刚开始觉得她很漂亮。当听到了她自行创作的专辑以后，觉得还蛮不错，年纪轻轻却满腹才华的说。难得美貌才华并兼。

第一次听这首歌觉得有点闷，尤其是chorus部分显得有点单调。
但当听过无数次以后却觉得越听越好听。

如果你是因为Colbie Caillat而想要听这首歌，可能你会失望。因为虽然Colbie有分写这首歌，却只是background vocal而已，不是合唱。无论如何，个人比较喜欢Taylor的声音，所以有无Colbie无差。

Expensive Clothes Hanger

Introducing new member of our home~

A 2in1 elliptical/cross trainer + stepper which costs RM1,888 (promotion price).

I do not know if it's expensive or worth the price...

It comes with basic function which we think is good enough.

Of course you can't compare with those machines used in the gym which come with preset training program, fan and even tv monitor.

We receive it only today and haven't started using it yet.

Since I gotta wash my running shoes first... since I am going to wear them inside the house.

Cross trainer helps train major parts of the body including arms, legs and abs (if not mistaken). Anyway, it's a convenient workout machine for use at home, if you are disciplined enough. It saves time of commuting to and fro gym and it takes only 30 mins per day, which is good enough if you do it persistently.

My only concern is I will get bored with doing only one type of exercise. So, I am planning also to look for yoga VCD/DVD since I already have a yoga mat.

With busy work schedule now and in future, perhaps working out at home will give me more flexibility and save cost, once again, provided I'm disciplined enough.

Hopefully it will not turn into, like what my colleagues have said, an expensive clothes hanger!

A haircut not of my wish

It was time for haircut... to get my long, messy, curly tresses a decent trim...

Spotted Hebe's latest hairstyle on S.H.E latest MV and liked it so much that I searched for days on the internet for her picture and finally got it and downloaded to my handphone so that I could show it to the hairstylist.

I went back to the same salon but tried a different stylist this time...
(I hope the previous stylist will probably forget about me...)


This was what I ordered.

Some may not like it but I just love it!!!

In fact, the latest trend in Japan/Taiwan is A-line haricut with bottom of the hair curling inwards. You can have short or long version. Both will be nice. At first I wanted a long version but later decided that I tried the short one and let it grow longer, so that I can have 2 different styles at different times.


This is what I get.

A totally different style I would say... the last thing I would want because there are already so many this kind of bob styles on the street.

I did receive positive comments though. Most said that I look fresher and younger.

I don't hate my latest haircut although I would want Hebe's. I told myself that probably my previous long hair was too layered that the volume wasn't there when the hairstylist tried to style it.

It's not easy to maintain since my hair is slightly curly in nature and have to blow dry each time after washing my hair.

Perhaps I will try the A-line style after it grows longer in future...

Visiting Aesthetic Clinic

There are more and more aesthetic clinics opening up in especially urban area due to increasing demand from women who want to look young & beautiful... I'm one of them, of coz!!!

It was opened by one of our customers in Ara Damansara. Luckily it's quite near to my place.

I was approached by the doctor himself one day when helping his clinic to do screening. It had never crossed my mind that I would need IPL (intense pulsed light) one day, although I've heard of this treatment before. If not because of my colleague who had tried it out herself and received good response, equipments or stuff like that is just so not "my thing".

I got the 1st trial offer which is quite cheap (although I have not done price comparison before signing up). You know, I'm one of those lady customers who fall prey to trap easily. Anyway, I believe in the doctor.

The IPL therapy takes approximately half an hour and was done by a lady believed to be an aesthetician/beautician. Before and after I was pampered with facial to exfoliate dead skin cells so that the light can penetrate better and to calm my skin down after the IPL therapy.

According to the beautician, pigments will appear darker immediately after the treatment and will fade off few days after. The benefits of IPL include treating hyperpigmentation, large pores, acne, wrinkles and fine lines.

On top of that I have bought some skincare products form them...

CLIV whitening & wrinkle repair BB cream worth RM121.60 (after 20% discount for members) from Korea. The texture is not too thick but the coverage is rather good. I quite like it. Most importantly it's non-greasy, it blends well and does not cause irritation to my skin. Several colleagues of mine are using it. It serves as a make-up base cum liquid foundation to me.

I bought this Vanicream sunscreen for face SPF35 worth RM76 (after 20% discount) today. I like its non-greasy and light texture. It is free of fragrance and preservative hence a sensitve skin formula. Moreover, the price is reasonable and it's about half of the price of the current brand I'm using. Haha! I am slowly switching brand due to the high cost.

The beautician gave me this Dr. Murad T-zone Pore Refining Gel 3.7ml sample to try since I complained to her that I have bothersome problem of white/blackheads. I have not tried it though but am thankful that at least I get a sample to try before buying it. The actual size is rather expensive at RM228 (before discount).

As to the other basic skincare I'm still using Clarins or Avene. I am initially a big fan of Clarins but lately I have been searching for cheaper alternatives like Avene. Nonetheless, I still quite like some of Clarins products.

The next thing I'm looking for is a good loose powder, since my Laura Mercier mineral powder is finishing very soon... (I just like to play around with different brands)

网上订阅经理人杂志

这就是我上次提到在网上订购的杂志 ~ 经理人月刊，已经寄来了。
陆续还会每个月寄来一本，直到12本为止。
还真怕它不会寄来了，心理已有准备RM300++就这样石沉大海。
因为是第一次订阅，不大确定它的系统，虽然已经付了钱。。。

虽然一本页数不多，但内容丰富，也不懂会什么时候看完。
希望会获益良多。

Victoria's Secret Mascara from USA

Today my BBB (big big boss ~ coz not my immediate boss mah~) came back from U.S. and brought with her some gifts/souveniers for her staff (luckily not bringing back any H1N1 virus with her).



I picked up this Beauty Rush black mascara from Victoria's Secret among other cosmetics which include lip glosses. The packing is rather uniqued and looks more like a lip gloss to me. That's why it caught my sight instantly. However, I'm not sure if it's waterproof although I can't use normal non-waterproof mascara.

Anyway, Thank you boss!!

新环境、新生活

换了新东家已第6天了，什么感觉呢？

好像会很忙碌的样子。。。
会不会很充实就暂且保留。
可是才第三天我已经狠狠地感觉到工作环境的压力。
同事们都埋头苦干，每天都加班到很晚才回家。
我第一天上班就已经“挨”到7点才“舍得”回家。
才第四天就已经睡不着，第五天就生起病来了。。。
（对一个不易生病的我来说，唉。。。）

我知道我是很容易自找“压力”吃。

值得欣慰的是同事们都很友善（至少同division的，其他的就。。。）

我已经开始在想，“我这一次又会呆多久呢？”
我想呆至少2年。
因为大概在知道了工作内容以后，发现还好，并没有很喜欢或满怀热情。
只是有很多我不懂的，可以给我一个机会好好地学习。

唉~为什么就像我的生肖一样喜欢到处乱跑？
可是，适应新环境真的不易。尤其是当你已经有一定的工作经验以后。。
还是因为还没有找到真正适合我的工作呢？

看书的好处

这几天难得的假期，虽然没有100%的充分利用，却也没有白白浪费掉。
读了一些商管的杂志，领悟了一些事情。。

所以说，我也很同意这样的说法 -- 实地经验固然重要，但偶尔读一些书本可以带给你意想不到的启发。书本可以提供参考，更重要的是要懂得如何把它学以致用。

由于不爱看厚厚的一本书，很沉重又没耐心看完，除非作者写得栩栩如生。
因此我更爱看杂志。
因为可以读到比较全面的资料和经验之谈。

那天读到了一位日本创业顾问 -- 滨口隆则的一番话，恍然大悟。。。
他引述道，“雪が降っても自分の責任。”（中译：即使下雪，也是自己的责任。）
他也说道，在他所接触到的成功者，都有一个共同点，就是把扭转各种负面因素所造成的结果，当成自己的责任。假使部属做事不够到位，成功者绝对不会归咎于部属能力不够，而是自己没有做好员工教育，部属才没能把事情做好。所以会设法做好员工教育，改变现状。

当然，他的意思不只局限在管理上，对于做事情也要有同样的态度。

很佩服一些日本人待人处事的积极态度。所以，跟这些人学习，自己也得益不少。

衣柜

难得放假几天，要怎么过呢?
得好好收拾收拾。
也打算读一些书来增进知识。
得充分利用时间才行。

今天替衣柜打扫除，挖出了好多件已好久没碰过的衣服。
捐献也好，给了别人也好，反正已过时，既然很久没去看它一眼，当然也不会再拿来穿咯。

说真的，时尚变得太快，消费者也变得快，衣服买了也只能够穿一下子就不穿了。
所以买太贵的会觉得好浪费。
除非是那种可以穿很久都不会过时的。
那种只是流行一阵子的就买便宜的，或干脆不要跟流行算了。

现在回想，也不明白自己为什么好像shopaholic一样，
超爱看beauty magazines，逛街和买衣服。
怎么就是不能多看一点书。

话说回来，
觉得自己需要多一个衣柜，
不是衣服很多，而是多些空间放东西，如手提袋子类的。。
也比较好找，不会轻易冷落掉一些被我遗忘的衣物。

本来想找个便宜的，不需太大就好。
结果在IKEA看到了一个还蛮大却不会太贵的。



好心急要赶快把它给买下来哦!!! 别跟我抢!

无奈的尾声编 ~ 你好自为知吧!

今天，终于到了尾声~
在现有公司上班的最后一天了。

好高兴同事们都蛮有我的心，
不但给了我一个farewell lunch，
还买了个蛋糕，
搞得我怪不好意思。
或许是报答我任职时请了大家吃两大餐吧!!
其实我也不好意思给大家请。
因为当中有些人已经替我farewell两次了。

无论如何，非常感谢他们的心意。。。
虽然不是最好的上司或领导者，
但我已做好本分，细心指导下属。
毕竟管人比把事情办好更难。
我自认问心无愧。

可是~
Farewell应当很开心，
却还是发生了让我感到不愉快的事。。

其中两个问题下属，
在知道我要离职以后(或许他们更早就知道了),
因为早已约了朋友吃饭而不能跟我farewell，
那也罢了。我并不太在意。
在意的是，他们两位却没有跟我说声“不好意思”之类的礼貌或门面的话。

更气的是，
到了下班时间，
一声也不吭就拍拍屁股跑了!

Come on!!!
今天是我的last day at work，
不要装着若无其事或事不关己好不好?!
就算再不喜欢，
至少也要礼貌上道个别吧?!
难不成还要我亲自跑过来跟你说best of luck吗?

撇开其中一位是我一加进来的第一天就和他有“牙齿印”的不说，
另外一位还是我亲自应征，带进来并教导的，
尽然知道我要离职以后，
无视我的存在!
太过分了吧?!
我真的用常理也无法理解的人心。。
或许我曾对他做的事情不满而语气重。。
但那是应该的。
因为他办事真的有够差。
因为当我顶他不顺把同样的事情交给另外一位同事处理时，
看到的竟然是有成绩出现，可见而知。。。

只能怪我这次看走眼，请了这样的一个“人渣”。
连上司也希望他尽快辞职的人，可想而知。。
所以，问题不出在我。
因为不只是我一个人想要他赶快离开。
接下来要聘请他的公司，我只有一个comment，可怜!

不过，
这两位问题同事都有一个共同点，
那就是不谙华语的typical香蕉人。
我不是想要一竹竿打翻整艘船。
但我发现很多受英文教育的都有严重态度问题。
如：不懂礼貌，不懂得尊师重道，不会饮水思远，
不守规矩，自私自利，自以为是，很计较，瞧不起人等。
更甚的是，瞧不起英文不太好的华人，
可是从来不会因身为华人而不懂得华语而惭愧。

当然这也要追究家庭教育。
因为也有一些香蕉人蛮nice，绝对没有态度问题。
可是因为遇见了太多有态度问题的香蕉人而“止步”，
而不由得不提防。

说真的，固然英文重要，
但不懂中文真的会吃大亏。
好像我最近应征，看履历表都会先留意中文程度。
不懂中文的我一概推到一旁。
不是我有偏见，而是，
一来怕再请到问题下属，
一来不懂中文真的很不方便，
因为都需要接触台湾、中国人，
需要读、了解和写中文。
如果能掌握到中英那就更好。
所以一些受中文教育的，虽然英文底子不太好，
只要写和读没问题，
当然就优先考虑。
所以说。。。

醒醒吧，香蕉人。
别再沉醉在自满中，
迟早会被溺毙!!!

尾声

很快地，又到了尾声~
落幕的瞬间 ~ 是喜是忧?

是mixed feelings...

但不代表结束。
要迎接的，那未知的未来 ~ 是美好还是噩梦?
我不知道。

趣事两桩

我沒有特殊的拍攝技巧，只是看到了特別的景象便想拍下來分享。。。


前两个礼拜我家进了一只大蝴蝶~
刚好停在风扇开关旁，可以比较大小。
本来不欲理置，却飞到我房间里来，
便想尽办法把它赶走，结果冒了整身汗，费尽力气才把它引出窗口外。

蝴蝶象征着什么呢？


今天~在One Utama的停车场看到了停在我旁边的apple green Myvi 贴着这蜡笔小新的贴纸好可爱，便赶快拍下来咯!

My new whitening program

About two months ago I was invited by Clarins to join one of their workshops for the launching of their new product - Clarins White Plus HP intensive whitening botanical program (as shown in pic above).

Of course I had to purhcase RM100 voucher to join but it was fully redeemable on any Clarins products. During the workshop, the trainer briefed us on Clarins series of products and of course, their new launch. They then let us tried the products on our face, according to our needs. The workshop was finally wrapped up with a lunch treat by Clarins in Thai Thai restaurant at Sunway Pyramid. Anyway, the workshop was carried out inside Thai Thai restaurant itself.

As the name suggests, it's a 3-week intensive whitening program which is meant to subsitiute all the skincare products that you are using at night. And in 3 weeks time, you will rediscover a brighter and radiant-looking skin.

I would say it was quite a succesful attempt by them. Because, 10 of us who went, around 7-8 of them went home with bags full of the latest Clarins whitening botanical program. Even myself, who didn't buy on that day, went back 2 weeks later to engage 1 set myself.

It's not cheap! It costs us RM480 (if I don't remember wrongly).

I am now in the first week of use. 2 more weeks to go and I can't wait to see the results!!!

Luckily no sign of allergy is seen so far, which I'm quite anxious to find out whenever I use a new skincare product.

Just wait & see...
