Pains of being Petite

If you ever ask me what would I change if I were given the chance to change my physical appearance? I would answer: "my eyes and my height".
Not that I am already satisfied with my features though...

Since high school, I'm constantly being "reminded" of how short I am or how small my eyes are. They kept comparing my eyes with Sandy Lam's (林忆莲). But compared to my eyes, being teased about my height hurts more. If you think I feel nothing just because I don't show it on my face or just because I brush it away each and every time you are teasing me, believe me, I'm offended, every single time!!!

Come on! I know I'm short, even shorter than the average short... but I don't have to be reminded about it! It's just like you don't normally tell someone straight to his or her face that she or he looks ugly. And it's also like you don't normally laught at a handicapped person that he has got no legs or arms. I do feel inferior enough about my small stature and I don't need anybody to add on to that!

I remember the moment when I was "laughed at" by a bunch of guys (strangers) behind my back of how I short I was just because I was wearing a pair of platforms (then the fashion trend). I didn't know them or even know how they look like as I was walking in front of them! That had haunted me and until now I still do not dare to wear any platforms although the trend has come back...

What makes me even more furious is being "laughed" at by someone not so tall herself. Maybe you do no belong to my category and do not know how it feels being a petite...tired of looking around for suitable jeans or clothings that fit, that do not need to be trimmed...tired of having to wear high heels at all occasions if possible (even climbing hills). But please be considerate next time... the last thing I would like to be mentioned about is my height. Also, don't give me the cheeky smile when I am trying my best to reach something taller than my height... I may be small, I may be petite, but I am a good girl and I don't laught at people for no reason. So, for whatever reason, please don't laugh at me. This is not funny, at all!!! And I am very, very serious.

The next time when you are trying to make fun of someone, think of your ownself. Are you perfect? Or else, 闪开!!!

Talking about petite, there are a few celebrities who are petite and yet carry themselves well. I love their fashion sense and they know how to dress to make them look tall. Of course, they are not spared from being talked about their heights either! Thus, they often lie about their heights. (So, you know why they lie...)

おいしい梅酒

昨天中午因公事到了Solaris Mont Kiara一趟，
便顺便到附近的Sri Hartamas吃午餐。
选了一间日本餐馆，便和两位同行的女同事进去用餐。

我点了日本冷面~tenzaru soba~味道不差但也不会很好吃。



后来看到了餐单上的日本酒，好想喝。。。



便点了杯Ume Shu (梅酒) ~ RM12/杯
好好喝哦!!! ヾ(＠°▽°＠)ﾉ

第一次在上班的中午时刻喝酒~
还吩咐我同事回到公司不好“爆我大wok”
幸好是一小杯。。。
但不常喝酒的我还是一杯过后酒气充脑~脸泛红 (◎＾▽＾◎)

hohohohh..... 没有什么，只是想在这里“炫耀”一下而已。。。

选择分叉路

My Fave Skin Care & Cosmetics

喜欢尝试不同美容产品的我~
虽然试用的产品种类和品牌不多~
但也很想分享一下所用过很好用的品牌。
所以就在此一一简单的介绍... (*^－^)ノ

当然，我的肌肤属于混合性，而且极易长粉刺，
不是每一样我介绍的都适合每个人，
所以只供参考。。。


Dr.Ci:Labo Super Cleansing Gel 120g - RM94

最近在用着这款刚引进大马的日本品牌~Dr.Ci:Labo。
Dr.Ci:Labo最出名的是它的Super Moisture Aqua-Collagen Gel。
可是因为内含royal jelly，不大适合我的敏感皮肤。
而这卸妆专用的cleansing gel却出奇好用!
挤出来时是凝胶状，
擦在脸上和妆溶在一起后会慢慢转变成带点油性的质地，
但感觉一点也不油腻，
所以很适合我这种不适合用卸妆油的肌肤。
而且清洁力强，但不会造成皮肤干燥。


Chanel Precision Gentle Biphase Eye Makeup Remover 100ml - RM80

容易眼长油粒的我，一直在寻找着一种温和的眼部卸妆品。
后来读到一些名人都爱用Chanel的这款眼部卸妆液后便买来尝试。
结果，比起之前用过的平价Loreal卸妆液好用多了!
果然是一份钱一份货!
不但性质温和、不油腻，而且连防水睫毛膏也能卸得很干净。
更甚的是~它适合眼睛敏感和隐形眼睛配戴者使用。
好像我这种喜欢带着隐形眼睛卸妆的人就最适合不过了。


Clarins Gentle Facial Peeling - RM125

顾名思义~这款去角质护理可以深层并温和地去除死皮，
不会刺激皮肤，而且用法很简单，
只需抹在擦干的脸上，然后由内向外按摩，死皮便会随着掉落。
用了它以后，粉刺也较容易被挤出来。
很适合懒惰等候，和偏向干性、敏感的肌肤。
因为颗粒状或磨沙膏之类的都会造成不必要的伤害，
用了皮肤往往会脱皮或出现过敏现象。


Dr.Ci:Labo UV & White Protection Milk SPF30 PA++ 30ml - RM124

会喜欢上这款防晒乳液是因为用了以后，有人赞我变白了!
擦在脸上就像涂上一层亮白的保护膜。
无香料，无色素，无矿物油，
而且还可以拿来当make-up base使用，
让彩妆更服贴，也比较不会引起毛孔阻塞。


Lifecella Essence Sheet Mask 20ml/sheet - RM15 (5 sheets)

用过一次就见到效果了!
也曾尝试过其他平价的面膜，但却没有它好用。
Lifecella美容液面膜有分成好几种：
1. Hyaluronic acid
2. Carrot root & Lemon fruit extract
3. Ceramide & Collagen
其中最喜欢含hyaluronic acid (玻尿酸)的，补水效果显著。
只要敷上15至20分钟，肌肤立刻变得水嫩嫩，一点也不夸张。
曾因为用错产品而皮肤过敏、干燥，用了它以后立刻获得明显的改善。


Anna Sui Super Mascara Waterproof 6.7g - RM88

向来都很喜欢Anna Sui的设计。。。
当然这款睫毛膏不止是设计漂亮而已。
刷了以后睫毛立刻变得纤长浓密，双目也变得有神。
最重要是它的刷毛设计使睫毛根根分明，不会黏在一起，
时间久了也不会弄污下眼皮。


Vaseline Lip Essence Advanced Petroleum Jelly 10ml - RM9.90

当然平价也不一定没有好货。。
因为办公室的冷气超强而使得双唇干燥、破裂。
用过了不同品牌的护唇膏也没有多大改变，
直到用了这款才得到改善。
当然没有完全好，却改善了不少。
它的开口设计使涂抹容易，不必用手指，直接涂上就好了。
好用、滋润得恰到好处，不会太油腻、便宜、方便携带，所以就乐意介绍咯!

我在这里没有介绍到的产品或品牌，
不是不好用，
只是纯粹不适合我或我没有用过而已。。。(*^v^*)

第一次的鸡粒饭

前两天因公事到马六甲
也尝试了生平第一次闻名全马
也只有马六甲独有的鸡粒饭


乍看之下还以为是鱼丸呢!!
尝了一口~觉得只不过是被捏成一粒的饭团而已
不过味道不错!


烧鸡~味道也不错
还有黑豆汤，不过却忘了拍下来。

台北二日遊

3月20至23日 ~ 到台北去了~
看上去好像有四天 ~ 其实真正只有两天玩而已。。。

五分铺的背影


第一次到台北著名的“钱柜”KTV唱K~
感觉跟本地的分别不大也。。。

不过，在这里还要感谢台湾的朋友~Tim~带我们到处逛
还陪了我们整个下午
谢谢你咯!!!

这次的台北旅，最可惜的是时间不够，
而且没有事前规划好。
不过，有了这次经验，
下次肯定会流连忘返。

零•缺点

好久没来这里发表了~ 最近都好忙、好累哦。。。

最近的“有感而发”...
曾有不少朋友说我是个完美主义者。
心理测验也这么说（我说的可不是那种杂志上的心理测验，
而是应征时有些公司会测验性格的那种哦!）
就连分析我名字的一位师父也这么说。

从小到大自认做事情都还蛮认真的。
所以很多时候会很仔细去做、也就很耗时间。
这是好是坏呢?!
好是因为“慢功出细货”?
可是，一旦办不好，便会变得比一般人还要来得颓丧。

讲究完美，就会对自己要求严格。
对自己的要求，有时会比对别人的要求更甚。
结果辛苦了自己，也容易变得不快乐。
而且因为仔细，往往更不能在最短的时间内把事情做好。
如果有一大堆的datelines要meet，需要“草草了事”的话，
会干脆就不想干了。
要嘛就做到最好，不然就索性不要做好了。
如果被迫要做又没有充分的时间去做的话，就会很不快乐。。。

所以，这样的性格好像一点都不好。
有时逼于无奈还是“匆匆忙忙”把任务做好，
结果被人发现犯错，
就算是小错误，也会很自责。

到底要什么时候才会学会，
在最短的时间内把事情做到自己最满意呢?
是不是要做好，就得耗时，就得很仔细地去做才行呢?

我们买的是RM198的票
座位却离舞台还很远~
周杰伦就像蚂蚁那么小
就只能看着银幕

也因为迟到的关系
没有“霸”到好位子
就只好站在最高的栏杆的后面看~没有跟人逼~比较凉快
可是那里的气氛就差很多了。。。
没有上一次concert那么靠近，
没有那种混在人群里，跟其他人一起欢呼的感觉。。

不过，周董的确比以前较会讲话了。
只是，如果不喜欢他的歌的话，真的会蛮闷的。
幸好他唱现场很棒!! 也算值回票价。
因为我都没买过他的专辑，
所以他的concert我会support。

写实 vs 夸张偶像剧

最近很喜欢通过youtube看一些在本地电视台看不到的节目。。。
所以 ~ 也变成频频在这里贴youtube。。
嘿嘿嘿~~ (^O^)



因为此剧我更喜欢Hebe，觉得她很可爱。。
这一段她整个人挂在篮球板上的夸张剧情 ~ 让我不禁大笑一阵

有个朋友说台湾偶像剧很夸张，我却看得起劲!!
看戏不要想太多，自然就会很enjoy~
我反而不喜欢太生活化的港片。
要现实生活碰不到的，才会吸引人。
所以 ~ 我喜欢像X-men这一类的电影。。。

明日之星

最近好欣赏他。。。
嘿! 我是绝对比较容易钟情于很会唱歌的男生。。。
虽然我比较喜欢听女生唱歌。。
所以除了周杰伦和IL DIVO就没有什么听或留意其他男歌手的歌。。。

还没正式出专辑的他就已经在中港台很红了。
虽然风还没吹来新马。。

经我“研究”了以后，发觉他“红”的理由：
1。除了有一把好声音，他的舞台表演、肢体语言、唱歌的投入也是一流的。
2。每一首歌，他都以自己的方式去演绎，一点也不被原唱者影响，很有自己的特色。
3。外貌虽长得不英俊却还蛮可爱。



单看陶子和乐坛的著名音乐人对他的赞赏已足以证明他的才华和实力。
再看看了这video的人对他的comments。。。
不用我多说了 ~ 他肯定星途无量!!!

Self-Indulgence

Chinese New Year celebration is finally over and I am back to work today...

Still ~ haven't fully "recovered" from my holiday mood ~ and was too "exhausted" from yesterday's workout that I was dozing off while driving to work this morning... Do I smell "danger"??

This CNY has been a rather a "crazy" one...
My stomach was 130% full all the time and I ate like I hadn't eaten for ages... without the slightest hint of guilt...
Maybe an "after-effect" of long-time diet control by someone??
Maybe a once-a-year thing and a great reason (excuse?) to indulge in an eating binge during this special occasion?

Who can beat me on the number?
I have gone for 4 "lou sang" during this CNY...
Within 1 week I have gone to "Sushi King" for lunch/dinner thrice...

Of course the lessons learnt are...
Must go on diet after the binge or else my bloated stomach won't go away for months
Appreciate "that someone" who always control your diet and not letting you over-eat （＾－＾）ｖ

晚宴小插曲

到了适婚年龄，身边的朋友都陆陆续续结婚生子去了~
若问我什么感受？我只能叹气地说：“复杂、矛盾”。

只因 ~ 到了适婚年龄，还没有get ready，却也不想太迟婚。

是我一位十多年没见的同学的婚宴。
若不是通过facebook，可能就永远失去音讯。。。
那晚我才知道，她在纽约，working as a psychiatrist。
当然不用说，跟我同桌的，除了我的三位旧同学，
还有满桌的doctors和specialists
有些还来自不同的国家。。
。。。有点被压下去的感觉。。。

有位坐在我旁边，
口操美国音，现住波士顿的女医生，
还有点屌呢!
当我问她是specialized in what的时候，
她回答：“anesthesiologist”。
那我就“哇”的一声，表示惊讶和赞赏。
她却带点惊讶的语气问我，“you know what is that?!”
我就简单回答说，“anesthetic, right?”，也没有多作解释。
而她也没问我是干哪一行的，只知道我不是读医就是了。
不过 ~ 我真有点受不了 ~ 当个麻醉师就真的很了不起吗?
我有个朋友也是医生却一点也不骄傲，也不摆架子，
我以她为荣!!

昨晚彻夜未眠~就是为了看这个在台湾风靡一时的歌唱大赛
《超级星光大道》
就像One in a Million或American Idols之类的比赛
但 ~ 有了陶子的精彩主持和一些实力评审
再加上特别的比赛方式
收视率难怪会那么好
如果厌倦了其他的一般、千篇一律的比赛。。
看一看这个台湾的也很不错

最让我吃惊的是~
原本还以为只有马来人和黑人有特别的歌唱天分
原来我们华人也很厉害~~
哇噻!!!

想不到男生也会把这首歌诠释得那么好
原本我就很喜欢《新不了情》这首歌和万芳的歌声。。。
因为先入为主，要让人喜欢上翻唱版本很难也!

虽然他们两位都没有赢得比赛
但歌唱实力已被认同
而且杨宗纬已出了第一张专辑
而萧敬腾也跟张惠妹合唱了一首歌《一眼瞬间》

Wanted to try something which we hadn't tried before...
and spotted an advertisement light box somewhere near The Curve's escalator...
showing a new vietnamese restaurant and thought of giving it a try...
Surprisingly, it turned out to be good and special...
A real Vietnamese food, I suppose... since I've not been to Vietnam before and so far, I've tried only Vietnamese Kitchen in M'sia...

This is really good and I am sure coffee lover will sure like it!!!
Moreover, I like avocado too!!!


I ordered Chicken Phở... not bad...

Wanted to try something special but dunno where...
so ~ just went straight to the touch-screen directory and look for one with special name~

New Tech @ Pyramid II

Found out a new tech in Sunway Pyramid II parking lot~

See the red & green lights on top & along the row?
It gives shoppers an easy indication without going through much hassle...
Just a look at the lights from one end straight away tells you which space is empty.
Isn't this easy?
What a brilliant idea~!
It proves how new tech can help to make our lives easier...

I aslo saw one method which helps to save 3 or more parking spaces by parking on a moveable track which moves with a simple push of button...
I forgot which parking lot was that but it's in KL
and I didn't take picture of that...
Probably you've seen that and know which one I'm refering to...
